G.V.G.V. Collection
2010 Spring Summer
The other side of WHITE
This collection can be called as sequel to A/W 09.
The eternal theme of G.V.G.V., conceptual counter-culture is represented by the color "white" in this collection. This theme is often expressed in "black" but the unique combination of versatile suppleness and strength of "white" is deliberately chosen to show the intensity of independent woman defies stereotypes. Coexistence of pureness of "white" as the atmosphere of transparency and "icy blue" and "sliver" are metaphorical expression of derangement or sharpness which represents "the other side of WHITE". This expression of the strength of an independent woman lays hidden in the core. By styling opposite types of fabrics, elegant sporty style and street elegance are exemplified.

New Metal
The "New Metal" collection is inspired by contrasts between the beauty of Norway's natural landscapes and Norway metal music scene. The objective of this collection is to mix the constructive silhouette and futuristic style by using laminated wool.

In the new "New Metal" collection masculinity and femininity coexist − Masculinity is shown in form of shapes such as big shoulder and tight trousers and femininity represented by the use of soft fabrics such as knit, fur and jersey.

The gradation of black, gray and white help represent the sense of deep Norwegian forests where as the dull luster of metal chains, buckles and spangles make the collection beautiful and fragile yet at the same time strong.

PRIMITIVE CONSCIOUS
This collection represents primitive as well as graphical by constructing three dimensional effects with patterns and cutting.
Three dimensional effects are emphasised with details such as lace up, zipper or piping and sheer or stretch material to enhance the woman's body line.
Also by adding "banded" or tribal accessories, MUG proficiently expresses the strong and fleeting image of woman.
